“No nation today is free from the risk of becoming a battleground,” declared Atty. Antonio Soriano, Lead Convenor of Citizens Watch for Good Governance.
He stressed that the Philippines must uphold neutrality and avoid aligning with any power, including China. Soriano urged Filipinos to be prepared, whether or not the country is drawn into conflict.
As a member of the United Nations and under America’s ‘3 Ts,’ he emphasized the responsibility of the Philippines to remain vigilant amid global uncertainties.
Despite rising regional tensions, Soriano reassured that the nation continues to benefit from U.S. support and, for now, remains shielded from direct impact.”
