Former Phividec Administrator Pompee La Viña issued a strong call for both citizens and government officials to actively engage in the ongoing impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte.
He said, silence is dangerous at this time, urging the public to weigh fairness and due process while questioning the government’s true priorities.
La Viña revealed that ninety percent of Mindanao residents oppose the impeachment, reminding lawmakers to listen to the people’s voice or risk being seen as deaf to public sentiment.
He warned that focusing too much on political battles could distract leaders from urgent national concerns.
He encouraged legislators and officials to prioritize pressing issues such as food prices, fuel costs, and employment.
These, he said, are the daily struggles that matter most to ordinary Filipinos.
La Viña emphasized that governance should be about solving real problems, not political maneuvering.
