United People’s Initiative President Atty. Virgilio Reyes Garcia rejected claims by the Office of the Solicitor General alleging judicial overreach in the Supreme Court decision declaring the transfer of PhilHealth funds to unprogrammed accounts unconstitutional.
Garcia emphasized that the judiciary exercised its constitutional duty by halting the unauthorized diversion of health funds from 2024 to 2026.
He urged executive agencies to adhere strictly to the court ruling to safeguard healthcare reserves for public benefit.
