Akbayan Youth, through its national vice chairperson Claire De Lune Lopez, called on the Senate to convict Vice President Sara Duterte once it convenes as an impeachment court. The group argued that numerous pieces of evidence presented during the House of Representatives hearings justify conviction.
At the same time, Akbayan Youth demanded the immediate arrest of Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa. They claimed he remains a fugitive and in hiding, with uncertainty over whether he is still in the Philippines.
