The City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD), together with Barangay Lapasan and Puntod officials, is currently validating the victims of the massive fire that broke out in the two barangays.

According to CSWD Disaster Head Sofia Tongson, the initial list shows 203 families or 680 individuals affected in San Isidro, Lapasan, while 278 families or 776 individuals were affected in Barangay Puntod.

Tongson also stated that some families have not yet reached the evacuation center and others remain in various temporary shelters, which is why the listing and data validation period has been extended.

She added that further verification will begin in Barangay Lapasan to ensure that no duplicate names appear in the lists of the two barangays.

Tongson admitted that personnel are limited but emphasized that they are striving to complete accurate and clean validation for more than 400 affected families.

At present, CSWD continues to coordinate with barangay captains to expedite the delivery of proper assistance to the victims.
