Engr. Dioric Gavino, Secretary General of the DDS Sara All Confederation, has called on lawmakers to exercise conscience and balance in handling the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte.
Gavino also appealed to parallel support groups of the Vice President, urging them to reach out to their congressional contacts and persuade them not to favor impeachment.
He argued that certain individuals are abusing their power to remove Duterte from office and prevent her from running in the 2028 presidential elections.
As an example, Gavino cited the appeal of Zamboanga City’s mayor to their congressional representative, stressing that lawmakers should prioritize solving more pressing national problems instead of focusing on impeachment.
According to Gavino, the public can clearly see that the move to oust VP Duterte is “purely political.”
