Former Integrated Bar of the Philippines CDO-MisOr Chapter President Eddie Cuaresma stated that there will be no obstacle to the passage of the committee report in the House plenary regarding the two impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte, both of which were found to have probable cause by the House Committee on Justice.
In an interview with BOMBO RADYO, Cuaresma observed that the committee, led by Congresswoman Gerville Luistro, strictly followed all requirements set by the Supreme Court to avoid technical issues in the impeachment process.
He emphasized that while some continue to allege irregularities, the resolution was crafted in accordance with the law, ensuring sufficiency in form, content, and substance before the committee ruled on probable cause.
Cuaresma expressed disappointment, however, over Vice President Duterte’s silence and repeated absence from all hearings where she was invited to appear.
