Trial lawyer and former Cagayan de Oro City Councilor Atty. James Judith clarified that Ramil Madriaga’s credibility as a witness in the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte cannot be automatically dismissed.
In his interview with Bombo Radyo, Judith explained that in legal processes, a witness is not disqualified solely because of a record, as long as the testimony is relevant to the case.
He emphasized that Madriaga has not been convicted, making him eligible to testify and have his statements considered.
Judith underscored that credibility should be assessed within the context of the entire evidence, not merely on personal background.
