City Mayor Rolando Klarex Uy announced that the local government is planning to establish a new City College to make education more accessible to the people.

In his message during the Kuyog Ta sa Serbisyo sa Baryo program held in Barangay Carmen, Mayor Uy said the school will be built near City Hall, beside the executive building, to serve as a learning hub for the youth.

He expressed optimism that many students will enroll in the coming school year, and assured that the city is preparing ways to support their needs.

Among the plans is the purchase of a school bus to transport students to the Agusan campus.

Mayor Uy also appealed for full support from the City Council, especially the councilors, to fast-track the project’s implementation.

He emphasized that nothing is more valuable than quality education as the key to a brighter future for children from ordinary families.
