Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete has directed the newly appointed commander of the 4th Infantry Division (4ID), Major General Marion Angcao, to give strong emphasis to the role of every soldier in the mission to fully dismantle the CPP-NPA in Northern Mindanao and Caraga regions.
This directive was delivered during the turnover ceremony, aligning with the command of President Bongbong Marcos to strengthen military operations against insurgency. Nafarrete stressed that the division must work as a solid “diamond troopers” unit to counter the scattered rebel forces in the region.
Major General Angcao replaces Acting Commander Brig. Gen. Seigfred Tubalado, who will return to his area assignment with the 403rd Infantry Brigade in Bukidnon.
