City Mayor Rolando Klarex Uy has called on the City Agriculture Office to ensure that farmers and fisherfolk are not neglected, especially during this period of extreme heat.
Speaking at the Kuyog Ta sa Serbisyo sa Baryo program in Barangay Carmen, Mayor Uy emphasized the need for continuous assistance and support to the agricultural sector, as their livelihoods are directly affected by the hot climate.
He underscored the importance of giving proper attention to farmers, who are among the primary suppliers of food in the city.
To strengthen this, he directed the City Agriculture Office to enhance its programs for the benefit of local farmers.
Mayor Uy also expressed gratitude to the office for its active participation in community service.
He reaffirmed that the city government will continue reaching out to the people to better understand and respond to their needs.
