The Police Regional Office 10 (PRO 10) underscored the importance of the 4M’s as a guiding principle for the conduct and service of all PNP personnel to strengthen discipline and public confidence.
According to PRO 10 spokesperson PMAJ Joan Navarro, the 4M’s serve as a simple yet comprehensive reminder of the values police officers must demonstrate in their daily duties.
The 4M’s stand for “maaga, marunong, magalang, and maayos,” which embody the core traits expected of law enforcers serving the community.
Navarro explained that “maaga” refers to swift and timely action in response to incidents, while “marunong” emphasizes knowledge of the law and sound decision‑making.
“Magalang” reflects respect toward all sectors of society, and “maayos” signifies discipline, integrity, and orderly service.
PRO 10 expressed confidence that through the 4M’s, the quality of police service will improve further and public trust will be reinforced.
