The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has begun implementing its Electronic Certification (e-Certification) system, making it easier to obtain digital copies of birth, marriage, death certificates, and CENOMAR.
To avail of these digital copies, applicants can log in to the PSA portal, select the option for digital issuance, and pay through e-wallet services. The PSA then sends the requested copies directly via email.
Jojo Tuason, Chief Administrative Officer of Civil Registration at PSA-10, clarified that these digital copies cannot be printed from their office since they are intended solely for digital use.
As of now, the PSA digital birth certificate (e-certificate) costs ₱290, while a printed copy from PSA outlets is ₱155, and home delivery through PSAHelpline.ph is ₱365.
This initiative aims to streamline transactions and promote convenience, while reminding the public that digital certificates are valid only for online or electronic purposes.
