Akbayan Partylist Representative Chel Diokno has denied reports claiming he received a phone call from House Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte Representative Sandro Marcos regarding the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte.

According to Diokno, there was no such communication, countering speculation that Marcos had been reaching out to lawmakers in preparation for the case. The impeachment complaint is expected to be presented in plenary in about two weeks, with legislators reportedly preparing ahead of time.

Reports also suggested that before the committee report is formally presented, projects listed under “For Later Release” (FLR) would be made public, adding further political context to the unfolding issue.
