Xavier Ateneo School of Law Assistant Dean Atty. Ernesto B. Neri emphasized the critical role of young citizens in engaging with national governance discussions, particularly regarding public accountability and the management of state funds.

Speaking at the Pag-barog Youth Forum at Xavier University, Neri stated that the youth must actively monitor governance as future stewards of the nation.

He added that the impeachment process serves as a constitutional mechanism to establish facts and evaluate allegations against Vice President Sara Duterte, expressing confidence that allowing both sides to present evidence before the Senate Impeachment Court will enable citizens and senators to reach a fair outcome.
