CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY– (update) The Bukidnon Provincial Police Office (BPPO) has neutralized a gun-for-hire suspect who was the subject for man hunt operation for the killing of a police officer in Barangay Lampanusan, Kiluhan, Bukidnon.
Spokesperson of BPPO, Police Captain Jesselle Longgakit identified the suspect as Joseph Maulas.
Capt. Longgakit said, that the suspect resisted his arrest while authorities served his warrant of arrest on Thursday.
The joint operation of Pangantucan and Kalilangan Municipal Police Station resulted to the killing of the main target when Maulas open fired to the operation team.
Longgakit clarified that the victim was rushed immediately to the hospital, but later declared dead.A 30 carbine rifles and caliber 45 pistols were recovered on the crime scene.
