PhilHealth has rolled out its new maternity care package effective April 30, 2026, under Circular No. 2026-005, providing expanded benefits for mothers nationwide.

According to Regional Vice President Delio Aseron, the package increases case rates for maternal and gynecologic services in both government and private hospitals, raising coverage for normal spontaneous delivery from ₱12,000 to ₱14,000 in infirmaries and primary care facilities and up to ₱29,000 in hospitals, while cesarean section benefits have been boosted from ₱37,000 to ₱58,000.

Additional coverage has also been introduced for specialized maternal procedures such as endometrial biopsy and dilatation and curettage (raspa), helping reduce patients’ out-of-pocket expenses.

Aseron emphasized that this initiative strengthens healthcare assistance for mothers and women, ensuring more affordable and accessible maternal services across the country.
