Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN) representative Rauf Sissay asserted that executive accountability regarding flood control budget irregularities must extend beyond former Speaker Martin Romualdez and former Representative Zaldy Co to include President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Following the issuance of plunder arrest warrants against Romualdez, Sissay noted that final budgetary authorization rests with the executive branch.
BAYAN demanded a comprehensive audit of all high-ranking officials involved in the allocation process.
