The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region 10 has strengthened its preparations and coordination to safeguard the public during the scheduled transport holiday on Monday.

Director Aljo Bendijo emphasized that while transport groups have the right to express their stance, the agency is committed to maintaining order, safety, and community welfare through strict law enforcement.

He noted that financial assistance, including fuel subsidies and cash aid of up to ₱5,000 for drivers, is being expedited to ease the burden of rising fuel costs.

To support commuters affected by the strike, the government will also provide free rides on select routes.

The LTFRB assured continued coordination with the Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Land Transportation Office, and other agencies to keep traffic flowing smoothly and prevent disruptions.

Bendijo added that monitoring will remain active, with the agency ready to respond to emergencies to protect both the public and the transport sector.

Finally, the LTFRB called for unity and cooperation among all stakeholders to ensure balanced protection for drivers and commuters during this challenging period.
